Description of Speedo Optimus Swim Training FinsSpeedo's unisex short training fins allow for quicker cadance of a freestyle kick while still giving your legs a great workout. Unlike a full-length fin which can overpower your arm stroke, the shorter blades allow you to swim more normally. The orthopedic foot pockets make the fins very comfortable for long workouts. Fits shoe sizes 5 through 13. Train more effectively with the Optimus Training Fins. The notched fin distributes force more evenly during a kicking cycle, allows for the natural uninterrupted flow of a flutter kick. The short blade creates training overload without slowing down the stroke tempo, even at racing speed. The rigid side rails allows for vertical stabilization. The foot pocket is designed with softer rubber for greater comfort and less chafing during maximum workload and extended workouts. The slip resistant treat on the heel keep feet stable on the bottom and sides of the pool. About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn?t take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it?s manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland?s Inge de Bruijn. Apparel reviews of Speedo Optimus Swim Training FinsCustomer Review: swim fins Rating: 5 Stars
I need to exchange my fins. I have received an XL 10-11, but i need an XXL 12-13 size. How can I return this item for a bigger size. I need either a PO Box number or address to send the swim fins back. I need your assistance as soon as possible. [...] Thank you.
Customer Review: Very comfortable Rating: 5 Stars
The large number of sizes make for a good fit. Very comfortable foot pocket. Otherwise they work pretty much like any training fin. The center cut-out maybe makes them a little more versatile for different strokes.
Customer Review: Easy and fun Rating: 4 Stars
I like them because you don't have to take them off climbing aboard your boat. I lost my long fins because I had to take them off first, when I tossed them on board they fell in the sea, I could not retrieve them fast enough. With Speedo, I find everything comfortable, easy to handle, and giving my legs a much better workout.
Customer Review: They work great but the foot pocket brakes pretty fast Rating: 3 Stars
Just as my tittle suggests, the pockets on these fins brake after some use. For some people it could be one month, for some others about 4 months. All the swimmers in my Masters group have experienced the same problem.
Customer Review: Nice fins but just last few months Rating: 2 Stars
These fins are nice but I don't recommend them due to tear at the corners on top. If you buy them use super glue to prevent tearing along the top of the foot!
